Surprise, surprise

Surprise--The Oilers lost.
Heartbreaking but not completely unexpected. It was a good game though.

A real surprise-- last Wednesday.
Two of my friends Hilary and Kimberly told me I should be available no questions asked. They come pick me up from my house and I walk outside not really expecting anything and there was a limo! I can't remember the last time I've been in a limo, I was telling them that even for graduation we went in Ricky's Honda in our fancy dresses (which was fine too!). Anyway, we spent the night riding around, making some random stops and just catching up on what happened in our lives during the last year. It's amazing that so much can have happened, tons of things changed, but nothing really changes. Just picks up where it left off.

More surprises--I'm lazy.
I meant to post pictures and all that stuff about my trip, but I only have about a week before I go to Mexico (I'm going for about 5 weeks to visit friends and spend beach time), and I have some pressing social engagements before then. My friend is getting married and since she's brown they've decided to have a bunch of parties (like one yesterday, one Wednesday, Thursday, and they get married on Saturday). I can't really complain, it's fun! And I need to spend family time since I haven't seen them much. So, my blog might be kind of boring for the next few weeks, but hopefully once I get back from Mexico I will feel more motivated. Once I get back I have a few weeks before I have to move to Ottawa, and I am not going to be employed, so I'll make a real effort then. Maybe :)

Home Sweet Home!

After about 10 months I'm back in Edmonton! The last few weeks around Europe have been amazing, I'll post pictures and updates when I feel more motivated.

Move over World Cup...right now the BIG news is that my town's hockey team, the Edmonton Oilers are in the Stanley Cup Finals and playing game 7 TONIGHT! They were down 3-1 in the series, and they were only like 8th place in the Western Conference during the regular season so this is pretty out crazy that they are even in the finals. We'll see how it goes! I feel so Canadian right now, writing about hockey.

Anyway, to all of you that made my time in Europe so awesome, here's a big thank you! I miss you guys, but I'll try to make it back for a visit hopefully in the not-so-distant future.
